Stanford is a small country town situated just 15 minutes from the sea-side town of Hermanus. This gorgeous cottage is positioned a stone-throw away from the Klein Rivier, perfect for sunny days, boat rides, fishing and swimming.

Stanford is perfectly positioned for couples and families looking for a relaxing getaway in a quaint and historic village. Ride your bicycle to the main road (just 2 blocks away) to explore the antique stores, restaurants and coffee shops.

The cottage comes equipped with a rowing boat (with engine), 2 children’s bicycles and 2 adult bicycles. The house also boasts a large vegetable garden (free to pick and use in your dishes), cricket pitch, fruit orchard, outside braai area, inside braai and additional fireplace for those cozy winter days.

The Dragonfly has gorgeous views of the mountain range, so look forward to enjoying your morning coffee on the porch.

Please note that we are dog-friendly and ask an additional payment of R20.00 per dog which we donate to the local Hermanus Animal Welfare.

The Dragonfly is perfect for children with a well-stocked toy and activity cupboard. The house is also fully equipped with complimentary WiFi, a flat-screen television and Netflix.

The 2 bedroom cottage also has a reading room equipped with a sleeper couch where the little ones can sleep.

There are many activities to enjoy in Stanford ; from wine estates to farmer’s markets, beer tastings, cheese farms, sunset festivals and horse riding. Gansbaai is 10 minutes away with fresh fish markets and even shark cage diving for the more adventurous. Our neighbouring town, Hermanus, is also known as the whale watching capital of the world.
