Kruger National Park Safaris
The WILD FLIES SAFARI experience
As the sun sets, you are surrounded by Giraffe & Warthogs, whilst cooking your meal on open fire in the African Bush Veld. Expect this. This is your normal, if you know us and all our experiences, it is always real. Never changed, never will.
Based in Marloth Park, a Secure Wildlife Estate that is abundant with game. Lying on the banks of the Crocodile river overlooking, the iconic Kruger National Park, world renowned for it’s big five Safari.
A short 15 min drive to Crocodile Bridge gate is the entrance to Kruger National Park. The Lower Sabie region is known as the best game-viewing area in Kruger.
We believe in an exclusive experience that actually gives you the chance not just to run to the main spots. Instead, the guide waits, understanding the movements & nature of the wild, sensing when something will happen.
Asked Jan, one of the guides, why they are the best. He said “Be still, wait”-
Then 5 min later a herd of 100 plus Buffaloes charge a Lion pride and there is a “stand off” between these two mighty beasts.
Something about our safari companies that we partnered with:
As qualified Trails/Field guides, the guides spent countless hours exploring Kruger on Walking Trails and Game Drives. Encountering amazing wildlife, interpreting their tracks, signs and learning their behaviour.

Best way to get to the Kruger National Park
Below is our honest opinion, as we do this often. So it’s best to give you proper advice:
- We do recommend rather to take a flight from Johannesburg to Nelspruit, which is the gateway to Kruger National Park, then it is just a 1 hour drive to your accommodation. This will reduce the transfer time considerably. Being fresh for your 1st safari. Flight costs between Johannesburg and Nelspruit range from R 3000 – R 4000 return pp. (USD 200 – USD 260 pp return.) It is a 50-minute flight. It’s not the cheapest, but from our experience absolutely worth it. You will literally save about 2 days travelling by doing this. Since you are on holiday, time less travelled does matter.
- Second option is to drive up with you own rent-a-car, make a stop en-route and stay over, so that you can be fresh for your 1st game drive.
- Using the transport company that we can provide, nothing wrong with it, it’s just a long journey.
Ultimately your choice. Let us know and we will make your African safari a reality.
