E – Bike Boschendal Ride
This e-bike tour is for those who want to spend an active outdoor day, either with friends or family. Cycle from Stellenbosch to Boschendal via the newly build Idas Valley and Banhoek Conservancy trails with our guide. Enjoy a meal or wine tasting at Boschendal (own account) before our bus takes us back to Stellenbosch.
This tour is family friendly and kids above 140cm in height can ride our bikes. Riders however need to have intermediate mountain biking skills to do the tour as there are some sandy and rocky sections along the mountain bike trails in the conservancy!
Only a general fitness level is required as the E-bikes assist with the hills. Activity level 2/5
Departs at 9:00 from our offices at 1 Noordwal-Wes Str, Stellenbosch. We are trying to cut down on plastic use, please bring your own water bottle. It can be filled at our offices and along the route.

E – Bike Day Tour – Stellenbosch to Franschhoek
This unique E-Bike tour meanders through some of the best wine land scenery in South Africa. We cycle from Stellenbosch to Franschhoek. Meet local people and taste some of the great cuisine this region has to offer.
NB. Riders need to have intermediate mountain biking skills to do the tour and a general fitness level is required. Activity level 3/5
Itinerary
Start at 9:00 from our office in Stellenbosch
Cycle mostly jeep tracks and mountain bike trails over the Helshoogte Pass, a route used by the first Dutch and French families who settled in the Olifantshoek valley in 1688. Later known as Franschhoek.
Enjoy fantastic views and sites along the way.
Learn about small mission stations and local people living in the Banghoek Valley.
Get a chance to spot Eland and Oryx as we cycle along multiple mountain streams in the Banhoek Conservancy.
Enjoy lunch and wine on a Franschhoek Wine estate. Transport back to Stellenbosch by vehicle.

GUIDED BIKE TOUR STELLENBOSCH
This tour combines the beautiful scenery and sites of Historic Stellenbosch with excellent wine pairings and healthy outdoor exercise.
The tour starts 9:00 at Adventureshop (Located at the Ou Landbousaal, 1 Noordwal-Wes Street). Each rider will collect a bike and helmet to suit their size. The Guide will carry a backpack for those who would like to buy wine en-route.
Tour starts with a historic tour of Stellenbosch, visiting some of the historic sites of Stellenbosch Town. We cycle through town and head to the scenic Jonkershoek Valley. A winding road through oak and poplar forests will take you to Stark-Conde, a wine estate nestled in the valley bottom, here you can take in the stunning views while doing wine tasting of award winning wines on an island in a lake.
On the way out of the valley, we will stop at the beautiful Lanzerac estate which sports beautiful grounds and historic Cape Dutch architecture. Here we will do a cellar tour before we start our Chocolate and Wine pairing that will make your taste buds tingle.
After the tasting we will head back into Stellenbosch Town via the Stellenbosch University before ending the tour again at our office. There are some variations to the route, with varying levels of difficulty so the tour can be tailored to suit your cycling ability. Family tours can also be booked.
