Cape Canopy Tour in the Elgin Valley is the ultimate Zip Lining Tour located in a World Heritage Site within CapeNature’s Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve. This incredible system of cables and platforms offers breathtaking views and allows adventurers to explore a previously inaccessible ecosystem.
This bucket list adventure kicks off with an exhilarating 4×4 journey through the nature reserve before you soar through the air on eleven thrilling ziplines, some stretching over 300m long. Each zipline ends on a platform built on the cliffs and fynbos-covered mountain slopes high above the Riviersonderend Gorge.
A standout feature of this Zip Lining Tour is the suspension bridge, uniquely constructed between a narrow sandstone ravine above a stunning double waterfall – an unforgettable highlight of the experience.
Cape Canopy Tour, an award-winning Zip Lining Tour in Grabouw, Western Cape, is located just 1 hour from Cape Town.
What to Expect:
Arrive at base camp 10-15 minutes early for digital sign-in. Base camp offers a snack and merchandise shop, excellent coffee, and free Wi-Fi so you can stock up on last-minute supplies. After sign-in, you’ll proceed to a safety briefing and gear kit-up.
Once geared up, hop onto the safari-style open-top vehicle for a 30-minute 4×4 ride to the top of the mountain. The adventure begins high in the mountains, over 1,000m above sea level. After a short walk to the first platform and another safety briefing, you’ll be ready to fly through the air from platform to platform.
Complete the 11 ziplines, 13 platforms, and the suspension bridge before finishing the 1km walk out of the gorge, where the vehicle will be waiting to take you back to base camp.
