Tour Day : The Adventure Begins
For our scheduled Stellenbosch and Franschhoek wine tours, we collect you between 8-9 AM from your Cape Town accommodation and head straight into the stunning Cape Winelands.
Each day’s route is slightly different, but one thing stays the same:
👉 You’ll visit four wine estates in one day!
Stop 1 - Cap Classique, Sabrage & Wine Appreciation
We kick things off at our first wine farm with:
• A small vineyard tour
• A historical look at how wine has evolved over the centuries
• A tasting of South African Cap Classique (our version of Champagne)
If the mood strikes, we might even invite one of you to do a sabrage – cutting open a bottle with a sword. It’s always a highlight.
We’ll dive into the art of wine appreciation -what to look for in a wine, how to taste it, and how to pair it with local cured meats. Truly delicious.
Stop 2 - Cheese, Chocolate & Private Cellar Tastings
Next up: a pairing like no other.
At the second estate, we taste award-winning wines paired with:
• Selected cheeses
• Customised chocolates
Even better? You’ll enjoy these tastings with the winemakers themselves, often in their private cellars. It’s an intimate, in-depth look at wine and food pairing.
Stop 3 - Stellenbosch Sights & a South African Lunch
As we cruise through the world-renowned town of Stellenbosch, we’ll take you on a short historical driving tour en route to our next destination.
Then, it’s time for a traditional South African lunch on a beautiful wine farm, served with – you guessed it – more wine. You’ll also get a cellar tour, offering insight into the craft of winemaking at its source.
Stop 4 - The Grand Finale
With bellies full and spirits high, we head to our final estate – the showstopper – for a tasting of big wines and world-class quality.
The Ride Back: Music, Memories & Drop-Off
On the way back to Cape Town, the vibe is joyful.
Expect:
• A good playlist
• Some sing-alongs
• And a whole bus full of happy humans
We drop you off safely back at your accommodation – fulfilled, informed, and maybe a little tipsy, but in the best way.
